Happy new year...
Got back from new years day ride. Keck and company ripped it apart from the get go. I buried myself to hang on for the first 20 miles but eventually wised up and fell in with the second group. It was about 28 degrees when we started and did not get much above freezing the whole ride.
It was one of those rides that on any other day would have been miserable. But the company makes all the difference. Keith, Sly, Elvin, Dinsmore, and others chilling with me in the 2nd group made an otherwise cold and hard ride lots of fun.
I should really ride with them more often. On the way back Matt was on the front almost the whole way. He really does not race much anymore but is still a beast.
Good news is the legs felt good during that kind of effort for the first time since summer. Encouraging.
